Oldtimer New Viber

Post by VivaVibe »

After researching many cars and lurking here for a year or so, I'm finally a Viber. Thought I'd sign-up here to thank all of you for the great advice and open sharing of your experience with this great little ride. I hope there are some other GenVibers in my area.

I was looking at another car, because I didn't ever think I'd be able to get the Vibe I wanted. They had an 05 Spectra with only 7k miles for a decent price. But, alas it didn't have ABS, which I really wanted. I asked the salesman to show me other units of the type they had. He showed me an xB, Focus, and a Cruiser. Naw! Then he took me around to the side lot, back row, and there it was. My dream ride! Even the color I wanted. But, they were asking too much; we haggled until after closing time, Dec 30, and finally got em down. I love driving it, and it has every option I'd ever want. I'm down sizing from a van, so I really wanted the storage, MPG and reliability of the Vibe. Here's another pix.

Hi Tampa. My pinstripe is red and silver. Looked at your CarDomain pix...very nice. Your color is the same as mine, I think, just a new name for it. I used to live in Tampa and have friends and family there. With your grill mod I'd recognize your Vibe if I saw it.

40 years old is considered an old timer HAHA just kidding. I think once you hit 100 it's safe to say you're old.

Vibe's a great ride for us old folks. Nice roof rack to put the mountain bikes on and room for the tent and backpacks in the back with seats folded down. No room for kids in the back- soccer moms need a van. We love our little Vibe- and by the way- my wife and I are both 62 years young. Vibe was designed and marketed for the 20 somethings, but ironically it is perfect for us empty nesters, too!!Corny
