2007 Matrix Cruise Control

I just noticed on my new 2007 Matrix that my Cruise Control knob is printed upside down and it is on the left side of the steering wheel.The reference guide shows it on the right side. Any feedback out there from Matrix owners as to which side yours is on?I am going to call or go over to the dealer just to look at some other ones to see if they are the same, I was hoping to find some other feedback though since I got this car the first of November and feel pretty stupid to just be noticing this.....

i think it was installed upside down and on the wrong side of the steering wheel

not to insult your intelligence, but we should just be sure -is the wheel turned? the third spoke should point downward.i don't really see how they could install it on the wrong side of the wheel, because IIRC, there is no cutout on the left side of the wheel for that. And it's not likely an issue of having mistakenly installed a wheel for RHD models, because there is no such model (unless the wheel in the matrix is used in other toyotas, in which case it could be that...)

that's a good point, raging...maybe the steering wheel/column was installed upside down?

Â»that's a good point, raging...maybe the steering wheel/column was installed upside down?you can't install a steering wheel upside down. it turns. unless you're suggesting it was installed in such a manner that the wheel is upside down when headed dead straight...but if that were the case, i fail to see how an owner -- even the most clueless person -- would not recognize it as an upside down wheel, and mention it before accepting delivery. i actually think the dealer would notice that as well, as the car gets moved around the lot.

Take pictures, and post them up.That'll be the easiest way to figure this out.

Perhaps the wheel was turned 180 degrees, and you didn't realize that the cruise control stalk turns with the wheel?
