catalitic converter?

Post by DopeVibeGT »

Has anyone ever had theirs replaced at only 74K miles? I was going to work last night and the check engine light came on. So, I stopped at the dealer and they ran the code for the cat. They checked it out and thats the problem. Luckily, it's still under warranty, 8 years or 80,000 miles. Just weird. My Grand Am has 166K on it and nothing wrong with the cat.

Yeah, the Vibe has a weak cat. Luckily, yours is covered.

Thats what I have for the GA. Just need to put it on. But, for the Vibe, I'm just getting the reg. one put on, since it's free. Weird thing, the CEL went off now and I've gotten the best gas mileage so far, 370miles on 11.5 gallons which is like 32 MPG. Not bad for the GT. :D
