This morning I started up the vibe and al was fine. As I was baking up, I stalled the engine. When I went to start it up agian nothing! Not even the clicking sound of a dead battery, however all elcetronics did work. Any way I got it towed by the dealer and their going to let me know what is wrong. I just hope they don't try and peg it on my CAI, which would be total BS. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
I had something similar, but the trouble happend before I started the car and it was MY fault.I shorted wiring and blowed the AM2 fuse. All was working well in hte car except the starting and charging system.See here for more details: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=3099BTW, you trouble is not normal. You did the right choice by sending it to the dealer.
back I got my car back last night. The dealer told me there was no problem with my car; they said that my floormats were in the way of the clutch which would not let the clutch engage. I find this hard to believe since I have been driving clutch for 12 years. As long as nothing is wrong it's cool. BTY no mention of my CAI.
quote:Mine died but it was a dead battery from a map light (which I now refuse to turn on).How ironic... they "protect" the battery from running down by not powering the 12V hidden console outlet when the car is off, but they allow a map light to remain powered! The fact is that cellular phones draw so little current when charging that leaving the 12V outlets powered is not really a big deal.
