I'll get some pics soon I have a couple of b4 pics andI'll post when i get antoher chance to get the after shots. This will compare stock to the NH's I just hope they have a better life than the SS's...This bulb does differ in one huge way. there is NO sheen or tint to the glass on the bulb. Like there is with the SS's.I'll get my first test of real life comparison on my way home from work in a little while.

Cool! I've been very close to picking up a pair, but after I've been burned by too many $ilver 's I've not been too willing to take the plunge. Hmm, if they have some longevity to them, and improve nightime driving, we have a winner. Only time will tell!

How much do those bulbs run? I assume they are about the same as Silverstars? I have been burnt by silverstars and wanted to find an alternative... maybe this is it.

Does it have a wattage rating on the package?

They're a bit over $25 a pair at your local Wal-Mart. So quite a bit cheaper!

I installed a Nighthawk on my right headlight to replace a Cool Blue that burnt out after 18 months. Waiting for the right to burn out before I replace it, since it's a little more of a knuckle buster with the battery in the way.In comparision, the Cool Blue is whiter (& bluer) looking, while the Nighthawk is brighter. Not really convinced the higher price of the Nighthawk is worth it over the Cool Blues.

Out with those shortlived SS, in with the hawks. Too much daylight this time of year so have not been able to put them to the true test. Looks good in the garage though

I'd like to see what these look like and if they are really worth it. I know that the SS were worth it for brightness, but I hated paying that much for a bulb that only lasted less than a year!

Well I start with the B4 shots!! I'll get the After Shots tonight when it gets dark...BEFORE:Sorry if they are a tad blurry. and the stocks came out a bit more yellow than real life!!This is from inside abit more true again these are the stocks AFTER!!Here they go... The pictures dont really do them much justice. The two drivers P.O.V. shoots are taken roughly from the same location. A county park across from my apartment complex..

From what I can tell from the pics... they "appear" to be better than the stock. Is that true in person?

Perhaps swapping your dim ones out also made them appear brighter?Either way the end result looks nice. I need to aim mine up, first before swapping out the OEM bulbs - this 8pm drive home with such a limited view sucks! But I have to say - the brights live up to their name. Wow!

I tried the Nighthawks paid $25 dollarsfor each bulb at crappy tire. They were too yellow for me I switched back to my Eurolite Fusions at $30 for both and they are brighter and whiter. I'll use the Nighthawks only in an emergency. Just my 2 cents.

I ran across some NightHawk bulbs tonight at Wal*Mart, clear #1157's. Said on the package they were 20% brighter than standard bulbs... I didn't see any amber ones, a brighter set to put up front for the turn signals would be pretty cool... So if anyone has something that takes 1157's in the tail lights and you want brighter, there ya go. lol!

Why do I feel like Im one of the few that have had good luck with the SS's? The pair I got for my lil ford lasted me more than a year and a half, maybe 2 years. I cant say how long they would have lasted since I traded it in while they were still working. Not sure if its your camera but those dont look brighter than SS's

Well One of my nighthawks went out on Jan 1 07. just shy of 2 years. They have been a great bulb and I do recommend them. But in my case the SS are avaliable for now for much much cheaper.Replaced with the Underpriced Silverstars i got for Christmas.

I replaced my burnt out bulb with Nighthawks.. much brighter than stock.. not as bright as SS... but when ever I use SS they seem to always burn out after 1-1.5 years of use.. if the NH last more than 2 years I will recommend them over SS because of Durability. And the NH are at least 15-20% brighter than stock.cheers

I don't know what everyone is complaining about... I had a set of SS in a 94 cavalier for 4 years and then gave them to my father after I sold the car and they still lasted another 2 years before one bit the dust. My wifes car has ss in it and they have been in there for 3 years now, no, more like 4 years this may.

They SS burn out quickly on the Vibe because they are low, high beam and DRL, so they are always on with varying power going through them.

You're definitely in the minority there. I know what I was complaining about, I paid $80 for the four up front, one headlight died, replaced it for another $20. When the other headlight died, I dumped them in favor of standard halogens but still had the fogs in. Then like magic, both silverstar fogs were blown simultaneously. So no more bulb "upgrades" for me ever again. The stock ones will probably last until the car is paid off.

I've tried SS in Two cars and they always burnt out within 1-2 years... I wish they lasted longer.. too much hastle to take half the car apart to change a bulb.. Sticking with NH and hoping for better results..

Hmm, takes me about 2 min. to replace mine. As for SS's, they dont last as long as I would like, but theres no other bulbs out there that are this bright and light up the road and at $39 ($24 after pepboys mail in rebate), and are also legal.
