What a jacknutz! I don't even own a G6 and I'm offended by that crap! I can't belive how much that idiot was bothered by not having a fricken lock on the front passenger door. Everybody seems to be doing it these days, especially the foreign manufacturers. Why? Probably because in modern times, people are too damn lazy to use the locks due to their nifty keyless entry systems, so they'll save a couple pennies by doing away with it on that one door. Makes sense to me. Wouldn't surprise me that in 5-10 years, the driver's lock is done away with too. (just hope you don't kill yo batt'ry, 'cause if you do, you ain't gettin' in! )And from what I gather, every G6 has the power stuff, and of course, keyless entry is included. All that moron needed to do if he already had the key in his hand was hit the button on the keyfob. Or get off his lazy (removed) and walk the few steps to the other side of the car. Sheesh!Just give that dorkwad what he wants, a fricken Camry so he can cruise along happily in his soulless transportation appliance. And a nice, big cup of STFU would be good for him too.

After re-reading this article, it seems like the majority of this douchebag's complaints are most likely attributable to poor maintenance by the rental agency. First, the transmission DOES illuminate the gear positions when the dashboard lighting goes on at night. If this car didn't have a lighted transmission, it would be because the bulb burnt out and the rental place couldn't be bothered to change it. Also, his issues with handling and steering also sound to be related to poor maintenace.Sorry, but anyone who has the balls to write that article based on a signle poor experience with a SINGLE car (which happens to be EXTREMELY reliable), from a damn RENTAL AGENCY, truly deserves to be shot execution style.

I'd have to agree, I rented two G6's from Enterprise near LAX in October and I thought they were great. Hell, my Wife even said she'd get one (once I paid off the Vibe).It sounds like the guy simply had a stick up his (removed) before he even got in the car, and I agree, it sounds like the rental company didn't care about the car, and didn't give him the keyfob.

I don't care what car you drive it will wander if you are a BAD driver and by his own admition he is.He should have requested a car with power locks if that is what he wanted and spent a bit more money.HE shouldn't have waited so long to book the rental. It's Christmas JACKA$$ plan ahead.All rental car companys purchace base model cars. Gm will not include what they deam to be an upgrade on a base model car.Hate to say it but isn't most GM cars products manufactured in other countries such as mexico and canada?Such cars as toyota (which he refers too) which are mainly assembled in the US are more reliable... Am I missing something?

i liked the one i drove... other then the remote start issues I had. (no owners manual to teach me)mine was near base but it was still a peppey roomy sedan with a high comfort level and good looks. What more do you want in a rental?

It seems like that guy had pre made opinions of GM. The bad rental just gave him another reason to trash tlk GM. You can't talk rate a rentalcar as thought it came right out of a dealer's lot.The G6 is a very nice car with excellent styling. Never driven one, but i've read many car auditorials where they give it good grades. Only thing i don't like about it, is that it's not offered with Nav.

Am I missing something?Umm, no.GM still manufacturers a significant number of their vehicles within the US. The G6 - in this case - is assembled in the Orion plant in Michigan. Many of GM's US operations have won awards for quality.
