I liked it when I test drove one at the Auto Show in Motion.

is the torrent the same as the trailblazer? if so, then i would buy one. i've been beating the hell out of our company trailblazer since August. it's a solid vehicle, drives pretty nicely, etc. i would greatly consider buying one if we are in the market for an SUV.

I believe that the Torrent is the same as the Equinox and not the Trailblazer. That being said, I have no experience with the Equinox but we used to own a TB and loved it but it wasn't the best car for our growing family.Mike

Never drove a torrent, but did drive an Equinox. I didn't like it.I didn't like the center window controls. Plus i think it's underpowered. According to KBB.com, It seems you can get a 220HP Outlander or 269 HP rav-4. For tha same as a v6 equinox. That and the MPG are better on both models.BTW- the trailblazer has a really strong engine, but the body flexes more than linguiny!

We own one. So if you have any questions ask.I like the comfort, the amount of cargo space you have when the back seat is down, and the ride.Dislike: gas mileage. On hwy I can get 19-21. On city it sucks usually around 14-16 mpg. It takes a while getting used to the window buttons being below the shifter in the center.

Torrents are nice, only thing I dont like is the electrical steering, gotta turn the wheel like 3 times to get around a simple turn

My sister has an Equinox. Same platform, I believe. Super-nice, Scandinavian style interior (Remindied me of SAAB styling). I was quite impressed with the quality and thought in styling that GM put into it. Drove it and liked it. Nothing crazy as far as power, quite average, but was smooth. The Torrent would be a good choice in the Pontiac family as an upgrade....but I would look at the Mazda CX-7. Power, Styling, and economy.

Test drove one about a year ago. Thought it was okay. Liked the styling. Reviews on it are horrible however. If I were in the market for a smaller SUV I'd probably go with a Forrester or a Rav 4.

we were actually looking at the torrent before buying the vibe. I like the interior styling and cargo room, but we went for the vibe b/c of the ext. styling and mileage.

The only reason why I didn't look at it more seriously was it only came in a V6. I had just parted with a Firebird and didn't want to feed another V6 LOL

Torrent is the cousin to the Chevy Equinox. That car has gotten very high praise and good reviews. I personally like the looks of the Equinox more and have driven one as well. Very nice ride and comfortable. Gives you the feeling of a nice big cushy SUV but in a smaller package.

Even some Toyota dealerships refuse to work on Vibes for non-warranty work, just because it doesn't have a Toyota badge. They refuse to even ADMIT that it is really a Toyota with a GM badge.

Yeah, like the one over by our place. But they now have that nice new building with the shiny service bays, I bet they wouldn't mind taking our money to work on the Vibe now.
