to start off.... 2003 base vibe with moon and tunes. 5.7 liter hemi.... well in my dreams anyways. hahaSo I think I made the decisons on what I am going to purchase.I want a Kenwood DPX-501.http://www.kenwoodusa.com/prod...=2377 I want to get this stuff off of Ebay. TWO Audiobahn AW1251T 12" Subs. SOUNDSTORM F2800 Force Series 2-Channel Amplifiers (1600W). and a box that they say they make. this comes with it and looks cool so why not. haha. I'm also gonna need ideas on how and where to mount the amp and that cap thing. My only idea so far is to get a nice piece of plywood or maybe thick plexi and mount it and just set it on teh big carpet thing. I'm sure you all have better ideas though. The plywood I would wrap in carpet or sumthin, wouldn't let it look like COMPLETE (removed). http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Audiobah...wItemand I found this harness. Is it the right one? the website says it fits, but ive heard people say the harness some people sell dont fit right. So I figure here you guys can tell me the real story.http://www.crutchfield.com/S-t...02003 I think I wouldn't have a problem if it wasn't for the factory amp I have. I want to keep it there for the speakers I already have, I know I gotta use the pre-amp for them, but how would I do so?I want to have a clear idea on what I am gonna do and what I will need. Anymore info you need just ask.

I was hoping for some insight on the stuff I want to buy. How to mount the stuff in the back, and about how to wire teh new HU since I have m&t package.

We have some audio gurus here, just give it a little time. I don't think you're going to be able to iuse the M&T amp once you install the new HU, so most likely you will have to wire them directly to the HU. Not positive though even though I had a sub hooked up with my M&T amp and stock stereo, but I think once you change the HU you will lose the M&T amp all together.

that harness should work fine, however you will need to access the remote turn on wire for the M&T ampthis should be blue/white off the kenwood and you will have to tap into the remote on at the factory harness. (not sure what wire it is off the top of my head but someone will). As for the mounting of the amp and cap you could take out the pocket in the rear where the teather hooks are cut a piece of 3/4 wood drill and countersink some holes and use the factory bolts the held the pocket down and mount your amp and cap to that. then useing a 3/4 sheet of wood (perfect height) make a beauty board to replace the sparetire cover and pocket lid, cut the shape of the amp and cap as they are positioned and you have a cover that looks good and still useable (just cover to suit). sorry if it is some mumbo jumbo mix but im tired and off to bed I go. If you have any questions I will clarify laterAron
Vibe is gone and will be missed as I've gone country style
Cool, that helps me out quite a bit! I am new to this car audio thing. But if given the proper directions I can install it no problem. I am still shopping for a similar setup, same componets except the box. I am not sure if I want to spend the money to get the capacitor. I know that when I roll my windows down, the headlights dim enough where I can notice it. lol. From what I'm reading I think I need a cap. All advice is wanted guys. Is the stuff I'm buying a waste of money!?!?! Well let me know so I don't waste my hard earned cash. Well thanx audiovibe, I do really appreciate your help and idea. I'm not exactly sure what ur talking about, when I get my car back tomorrow and look and figure it out. I left it at a shop overnight so they can tiny my windows tomorrow, well technially its today. I need to go to bed. Anyways the tint is gonna be 20% all around the back, and I think he said 25% on teh front 2. Then I talked him into doing a strip on teh windshield for free. All that for $149.95 and a lifetime warrenty. Not sure who that works though, cause tint will always fall off after sao many years. My dad had his car done there and they do a damn good job. If I had a nice camera I woudl show you all..... but I got a POS kodak 3mp camera. Well enugh rambling on about my tint. Time for bed,

I dont think that radio will fit thats a double din radio and i belive that our stock opening is din and half.Pioneer make din and half units made to fit gm openings, plus i think pioneer make better head units, if i where you i would just pick up a regular pioneer head unit and the dash kit, that way you will have a removable faceplate. As far as the audiobahn gear ditch it, its more bling than performance. I would probably go with a better sub like an alpine type R, adire, assasin, or an ED sub in sealed enclosure for better sound quality. And get your self a nice monoblock amp.
today at the tint shop they told me about a single din pioneer that was just released. they said only $180 installed. imma check it out later and prob get them to do everything. haha
