All the nice little features and details

Post by esjones »

I’ve had my Vibe for three months, and I’m amazed that I keep finding little details that set this car apart from your run-of-the-mill econobox. Things that may not be on much more expensive cars, like:The folding front passenger seatback has a release latch on both sides, so you can fold it whether you’re in the driver’s seat or outside on the passenger side. The strainer in the washer fluid reservoir. The huge range of adjustability of the front shoulder belt anchors. Those six awesome streams of washer fluid that hit the windshield! The hand grip in the bottom edge of the rear hatch door.Map lights in the rear view mirror.Delayed interior lights with "theater-style" dimming. The ability to shut the interior lights off completely, even when the doors are open.Door ajar indicatorHooks and eyelets on the driver floor mat to keep it in placeEmbroidered logos on the floor matsAll of the storage compartments

I feel that the Vibe is a lot of bang for your buck!I love its front end styling and the very back side quarter glass is shaped like they were on a 1949 Pontiac 2 door fastback.

quote:Map lights in the visor.quote:also the "little SUN" map lightI have "map lights" on my rear-view mirror, but none on the visors. Are lights on the visors part of the moons & tunes package, or security package? I have the power package, but no lights on my visors. Carl

My stupid mistake. APOLOGIES TO ALL. Of course the map lights are in the mirror. I don't know what posessed my fingers to type "visor." I've edited my original post to correct the mistake.

With the moon and tunes package, you get a regular rear view mirror (no lights) and the map light is moved to the space between the visors on the roof. I just discovered last month that my Vibe has 3 interior lights on the roof. The map light up front in between the visors, the dome light, and a light on the roof back in the cargo area. Nice touches!

(the vinyl privacy cover fits in it nicely). The larger compartment under the rear floor. (holds all sorts of neat things) including the tie downs and jack. I figure I can fill it with ice and keep a few cool ones in it for at the beach........ LOL I agree with all....... Real bang for the buck and fairly well thought out. P.S. realy should have included vanity lights.........

I know what you mean. This car keeps surprising me with all of the cool features it has. I also like all of the hidden compartments. I didn't even know about the cup holders for the rear passengers until someone else was in the back and pointed them out.
