Im on a shopping spree and trying to figure out what else to get. I have already bought vent overlays, interior door overlays, cosmo CAI, apex oil cap, reaer bumper protector, exhaust tip, front and rear all weather fllor mats, sylvania fog light bulbs, and hood deflector all today. But i need some more ideals, i was thinking of going for lowering springs or a rear lower wing. Cmon people give some ideals.
That midgate spoiler adds a REALLY nice touch to the back of the car!And springs make a world of difference.

cai and springshttp://www.neverenoughauto.comtalk to brad (aka petertracks on matrixowners.com)he has really good prices on everything for the vibe/matrix
When did you get the Cosmo, I have been trying to get one for months and they have been out of stock....I say if you look into Spoilers, go for the top one, but to each thier own.Springs are a great idea, and Exaust. But if you are dropping all that money at once, why not go for the big bang, and get a SC or a UNI chip or something? I know that niether of them are great without a whole system to compliment them, but they are still awsome to have....
Strut tower bars are strictly cosmetic. MadBill did some intense testing and determined that the strut towers are designed and located in such a way that there is no flex in them.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
prepare yourself fish! here is the part where people say "i felt a difference"kind of like getting a "performance increace" from a colorful ground wire kit.
chew aura pizza cheat main"the world in my hands, there's noone left to hear you scream, noone's there for you"
But when I put up my Air Freshner I gained 80HP, I know it. I mean that smelly tree air freshner helped by changing the air density in my cabin, forcing it to bring in air from outside, making the air around my car cooler and denser at the same time, and making my fuel burn hotter......Disclamer - This was only a joke, my little tree airfreshner does not make a car faster, it does not change the air, in fact it is so old now, it doesn't even smell any more. I was just proving my point that people can make up theories, and come up with ideas based solely on what they think they feel. Just cause you put something in your car, and it feels peppy on your drive to work doesn't mean that it really is faster now.
Hmmmm I did not know that. Good thing I didn't spend $200 on a TRD one or something!!! So if a quality parts manufacturer is selling high priced performance products that actually do nothing, that makes me question the honesty of all companies now! Im gonna have to do alot more research from now on.

MadBill did some intense testing and determined that the strut towers are designed and located in such a way that there is no flex in them.but if you remember, he was checking to see if there was any flex / ----- or ----- /, not what actually happens in the car: / ----- / or ----- . the strut brace is to help stiffen the suspension so when you do corner hard, it keeps the struts parallel and equidistant to each other. the car is designed to do that mostly, but the strut bar will just reinforce it. honestly, it's not going to be night and day difference, however, if you autocross or rallycross you will notice the difference more than just driving around town. it is MOSTLY cosmetic, however for those who do need a tighter suspension on the car, it will give you that. having said this, there is not much difference (other than quality) between the cheap revotec ebay strut bar and a TRD strut bar. I had the TRD bar on my vibe gt which is now on Mav's vibe. my current strut bar on my LGT is an ebay special. it does it's job. could it be made better or look better? sure. but why spend $200 on something when a $50 bar does almost the same thing! LOLbut if you want stiffer suspension, SPRINGS and sway bars will do so much more for you than a $50 strut bar.
well thank u all for the ideals. i already have a strut bar, sooooooo i guess i am going to go for the lowering springs. but what kind and how much are they?

Since you have a CAI, go with an exhaust. Oh, one of those electric SC from eBay! You will feel the difference! (The last comment was strictly for amusement. Electric SC do nothing for adding power. )

Usually Eibachs are more then $200 brand new..depending..sportlines are roughly $375 brand new..as for the shopping spree..first things i'd do..or did..were tint and audio..but i'd say do springs and rims..then audio and tint..the exterior is always the first people to see...so make it good lol
well in that case, rims and lowered..then exhaust and performance..as for me im not doing anything performance..cuz it's just a sunfire..no point in wasting money and time to get it to like 150 hp..lol

Put on myself. Very simple install. Took maybe 3 hours alot of which was spent re-installing the front strut because the center bolt was too tight to remove while it was off the car so I had to put it back on to loosen it. Saved hundreds of dollars and got the satisfaction of a self install
brad at neverenough has s-techs the cheapest. i ordered mine for the LGT from him as well as Mav's Magnaflow exhaust for the vibe. we also got his rear sway bar from Brad too. you can easily do the install yourself if you have the tools or know someone who does. if there's anyone around, perhaps you can muster up an install meet. if we had the garage we have now when i traded my vibe gt, i'd have installed the stockers back on and sold my TRD springs. oh well. i bought them used for about $120 shipped some odd years ago. you don't have to buy new when it comes to springs.

My brother would help, and he's done it before to his car. But, the weather kind of sucks for working on a car in a unheated garage. Guess I'm thinking of the Grand Ams 140hp ecotech.

I was afraid to do it too but it's not hard at all. Can't really do anything wrong. Normally everytime I install a car part something goes wrong...just my luck but I know if I wait it out and think about the problem it will work itself out in my head.Only thing that went wrong with the spring wasn't really a problem. After all four struts were on and ready to go I lowered the jack and the car starting making these screeching and creeking noises...my heart sank instantly. I got in the car and started it and tried backing it out of the driveway to straighten the wheels out and it was still doing it...then I realized I left the parking brake on and that's why it was creeking....so that was the ONLY part I installed that encountered no problems at all! Just give it a shot
Alright i got a little bit of extra spending money this month and i am looking into do something new to the car. Does anyone have any suggestions? And it is only $100. I cant think of anyhting expect for the shark fin antenna, but waiting on someone to post a pic for that.Edit: it just went up to $150
