Need opinions on tire size and rim size. Thanks in advance

Post by Vibe Raider »

I want to buy a wheel package from this guy on ebay and not sure what size tire and rim would look the best. 17 or 18, what width. and what tire size to fill out the wells the best. Below is a link to the package style. Any input would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I am in the process of getting some pics up here soon. Thanks, Mike.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...d=1,1

You want to stay as close as possible to the stock tire diameter (24.9" with 16" rim). The best way to fill out/in the wheel wells is to lower the vehicle, not fill up the wells with a larger diameter tire. A larger diameter tire will adversely effect performance, etc.

those wheels wont fit... they are only 4 boltthings to consider when buying rims&tires1) your car is set up for a particular tire size that affects much more then the wheel well being filled up. Please keep any plus 1 or 2 sizing tires as close to the stock diameter as possible. Use the link stickied to the top of this forum "tire size calculator" to find out your options as far as size goes. This is crucial. No matter if you go from a 15 to a 19 the overall rotation should be very close to each other. The tire gets lower profile to compensate for the larger rim.2) our cars have a 5x100 bolt pattern... there is 5 studs that come out of the rotor to hold our wheel on... dont mess with that or it will be a long expensive trip to the tire shop.3) width is debatable... I think a 7-8" rim is more then enough on these cars. It will be easy to find a wheel you like with a 5x100 pattern in a 7.5" width. Offset should be in the +35 or so.I like those wheels and have a set of ADR Sokudos for summer time myself. Keep searching and you will come up with the right combo for you.Good luck.
