i tried a few yrs ago back in the high school days but it never stuck cause of my bad knees and i'm only 20. growin old is gona suck. my board wasnt name brand but was still like $70, the grip tape was rediculous, it never wore down but my shoes did..too fast. i was more of an inline guy. also back in those days i developed activity induced asthma which kinda killed everything.i still support the skate industry with the clothes i wear cause thats what i'm comfortable in and "normal" shoes dont fit me their too narrow and no one seems to carry wide sizesgood luck with gaining the skills back, dont kill ur self
HAHA! naw.. ima wuss. i do the regular stuff; grinds, flip tricks, riding around a bowl.I wear their clothes cuz they are comfortable and they suit my personality better.LOVE!!! the shoes... so cushiony and good styles.I can still do tricks and hopefully i can get better at a few more so i can get some cool footage for when im an old geeeeezzer! *cough* BC, CP *cough*

i used to skate... from about 10 til I was 20 but gave it up when falling really started to hurt. My knees are also shot so it was time. but i still snowboard all the time, just got a new board last year and can't wait to get that going again! I think it's a little easier on the knees and sure doesn't give the rash that concrete does.Plus it doesnt hurt that I have mountains in my backyard.

Back when I was about 12 or 13, I would skate on occasion. I have friends that can bust tre flips, and caspers, and 360 flips. But i was never more than kickflip, pop shuv it, and 180. I landed a 4 stair once, but that's the most I ever tried. I was kinda a wuss too, plus my parents didn't want me getting hurt for tennis and baseball. My coach would threaten to sit us out if he found out we were skating or something.Post some footage of urself sometime
Definately wanna go snowboarding... jus WAY too expensiveand yeah my ankles are a lil weak from falling a lot too so i skate to have fun not be a NUT!

i taught my ankles a lesson doing well trying to do a 12 stair set nolly.i hear you on the hurt.we used to hang out downtown all summer wreaking havoc all over town. Good times... good times.snowboarding is expensive no doubt about it. After you have the gear you still need a pass and around here that about $700 a year.still worth it though... one of the best natural highs in the world. Cutting tracks in fresh powder on a sunny winter morning. sweet.

I'm a fruitbooter (for those who are clueless as to what I just said, it is inline-skating/aggressive skating...ramps, rails, gaps, etc.). I've been skating since '95. A lot of friends of mine skateboard. Actaully, justed help build a miniramp a couple of months ago and shoot quite a bit of skating. Stick to it, man. There's no better feeling than landing a trick that has pissed you off all day! Not even LIFT!
True... ive been trying to get the 360 flip for years!!!!! But yeah im getting new bearings and wheels. then ima go to the park and bust some tricks (or) my (removed)!

This crotchety old fart thinks you oughta stay off those things! And hey, I actually got on a skateboard somewhere back in 1995 or 1996 for about 10 seconds, thank you! I hung out with skaters, although I never could ride the thing. They were a fun group of folks to chill with. We'd all hang out at Burger King where many of them worked (and i had previously) until all hours of the night, some would skate, play hackey sack, or just cause mischief in general. After everyone grew up and moved on, then they open up an extreme sports park down the road that probably would have been fun. If I couldn't ride the thing across the parking lot, no way could I handle that place. lmaoI was an old geezer back then too I guess!

Okay, I'm a skate dinosaur, started in 1974 and in 77" hit it hardcore, did some team skating, exhibition, competition, all the way till about 85. I still skate a local park with my kids, not real great on the new school stuff but, I surprise alot of the kids by dropping into the bowl and pulling off a backside air. I honestly believe skating has kept me young and I don't know anyone my age that can skate. I skate for fun. My quiver is mostly olds cool but I have a couple newer boards. a board lasts me a lot longer than before. I'll try and dig up some pics
whoa you got some years on me.. LOL.My buddies used to do oldschool riding, i picked up a lil. i love new school but like some old school riding, like rodney mullen.

I used to skate a lot, up until like last summer, i was pretty good actually, i skated for about 6 years and could have kept up and gotten a lot better but i tore my MCL and my medial meniscous which pretty much put an end to it. my setup was a zero deck, 7.5 x 31.125, tensor lo trucks, darkstar wheels which were 50mm when new, but now theyre like..36, and bones swiss bearings..ive been meaning to buy a new board since my last one broke last summer but havent gotten around to it, plus my knees not entirely better. but yeah if you ever wanna talk about skating or anything, hit me up cause im your man haha
gawd, I'm an even older dinosaur, I skated way back when it was just transportation, a means of getting from one place to another. I'm talking late 60's here, there weren't that many different boards and most of us rode barefoot, no specilized shoesback then. We did a few "tricks", mostly like walking the board and doing wheelies.I haven't been on a board in cough30cough5 years, ever since I got the drivers license. It was a lot of fun.

well ive been to the local skatepark 2 times this week... and lemme tell ya, Im kinda crappy now... haha.I used to be able to do double kickflips and kickflip manual, blunt stall on the quarter pipes. different grinds, ollie onto table tops. But man-o-man... times have changed people are bustin really hard tricks i still havent learned and im just cruising around doing lil grind and flip tricks.Worst thing about a park is.... lil kids. They were all over this park. and they dont know bout waiting and trying to avoid others.theres lots of kids bumping into other guys and they start trying tricks right when another guy is goin for one too. its crazy.Well enough for now... guess where im goin...SKATEBOARDING

I used to skate when I was younger.I had a tony hawk board for ramps,a few friends of mine had ramps in their back yards, there wasn't any skate parks here in toronto then. Its funny cuz I tried in the summer to ride a half pipe and man I suck.I couldn' even do an olie. You know your getting old when you can't olie.

Yea I do. I have my old Kryptonic board from '86 with the original 70MM wheels. I just bought some new Route 70 wheels of E-bay. I skate on asphalt in the neighborhood. My son goes to the local inside skatepark and is pretty good. We also have a plastic ramp and a metal grind rail at home. For Christmas we ordered him a ramp that connect to another ramp for some home practice.
