3rd gear notch.. almost brand new car!

Hey all,I've searched the forums, and am not surprised to find posts about 3rd gear.. I have a base 5spd. It's got 15K kms on the clock now.. The car has always had a definate "notch" when upshifting into 3rd, and basically, I'm figuring that this is the dogs and forks changing over (if this tranny uses 3 rods for example for the forks). Anyhow, without getting too technical...I feel uneasy about the notchiness.. I don't want to have syncro troubles, yes, I have a warranty.. but..Are the other 5spds a little notchy on the upshift from 2nd to third?? Thanks!

I don't have a notch in 3rd, but first gear in my 07 5spd takes some jockying sometimes. gotta throw into 2nd or another nearby gear then it will take first and this is while sitting still only. not sure if it's the same issue but it would be nice if the cars came off the lot without this kind of issue. when i first picked up car and asked about it, dealer said there was nothing they could do and honestly the last time i had a dealer look at a slight issue like this they turned it into a serious problem after trying to "diagnose" the problem. I've left well enough alone and it doesn't really bother me anymore.

My 04 was notchy for the first year now it is much better. Either it is worn in or I'm accustom to it.

I don't notice a notch upshifting from 2 to 3, but I often hit something downshifting from 5 to 4, that's the only shift that gives me trouble.
