Fuse Panel (where is it?)

Post by shane_c »

Last night I tried to plug my mini air compressor into my cigarette lighter to blow up some tires on a trolly. I've done this before with no problem but for some reason last night it blew a fuse. And now the mirrors, radio and cigarette lighter do not work. I looked in the manual and it said that the fuse panel is located below the instrument panel but I just can't see it. Do I have to remove the instrument panel? Any help would be appreciated.

Check right behind the battery under the hood. There is a box there.

thats the fuse box!The fuse panel your looking for is right behind and under the lil compartement next to teh wheel. i dont have a pic, but youll have to lay on your back and look under it. but the fuse box DOES have the lil white/grey fuse clamp.Good luck

So it would be behind the little storage compartment that I put my sunglasses in on the left hand side? Is there a way to take that compartment door off so that I could see the fuses? I just had a look under the dash and if it's what I'm seeing then the fuses would be facing the driver.

Shane trust me just because you can't see doesn't mean it's not there. It's a real pain to get to, you have to be lying on your floorboard with your face next to the break pedal looking up and in and you should see this:That is the cover just pull on the side of it with your finger and it will most likely pop off and hit you in the face (that's what happened to me anyways). Here is a description of the fuses you will see:Sounds like you blew the CIG fuse it's easy enough to replace once you find the panel. Good Luck.

Thanks I found of it and have a head full of pebbles to prove it! It's really hard to see because you can't make out any of the writing on the black cover. Maybe they should make the writing in white.
