Crap! I'll have to watch it later It'll probly be around 2 1/2 - 3 hrs like most movies of it's type...and have a 27 hour long, 9 disc extended edition once it hits dvd
Okay, I admit that I thought all this transformer stuff was stupid. Now that I've seen the trailer, I think I've changed my mind.

well, i suppose this would be somewhat along these lines. we were given a new toy, silverstreak (WRX) transformer. Had to do some searching online about it, found out there are like 3 other units made. sweet! also read somewhere they will be doing the live action version of it (not sure if it will be the red, black, silver or rally blue) unit for the new movie. either way, i've been reliving some of my childhood... if only i'd kept all those buggers i had! LOL (i was a tom boy... hard to believe i know)
ok, can i also add that this toy is just amazing! all 4 doors open and close, the hood opens to show a fake intercooler, etc. now if they can make this itty bitty toy do all that in semi plastic and metal form, i am actually excited to see what they do with this movie. i never thought i'd actually get into it, but having a good friend of mine LOVE transformers, i know he'll be all over this when it comes out.
That actually came out about three years ago. It's part of the Transformers Alternators line that licences the actual likeness of cars from their manufacturer. The Japanese line called Binaltech actually has diecast metal as well instead of the all plastic Alternators. The movie will not be using any of these toy molds. All are very well detailed 1:24 scale cars that have doors, trunks, hoods that open and most cases the front wheels turn left-right. Hidden weapons mostly are the engine or some other component like a muffler etc.Characters/Vehicles that have come out are:Smokescreen 2003 Suburu Impreza WRC Rally editionSideswipe Dodge ViperHound Jeep WranglerSilverstreak Suburu Impreza WRXTracks Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06Dead End Dodge Viper CompetitionMeister (Jazz) Mazda RX-8Swindle Jeep WranglerGrimlock Ford Mustang GTWindcharger Honda S2000Battle Ravage Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06Shockwave Mazda RX-8Wheeljack Ford Mustang GTProwl Acura RSXSkids Scion xBBlaster Scion xBRed Alert Subaru Impreza WRXSunstreaker Dodge Viper CompetitionOptimus Prime Dodge Ram SRT-10Mirage Ford GTRumble Honda Civic SiRavage Jaguar XKHot Rod Ford GT

I know this isn't about the new movie but I picked up the Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary DVD last night and took a trip back to 1896. There's a little featurette on there about the new movie but it doesn't show anything that isn't allready out there. It's really crazy the way movies & everything has changed since then...

doesn't really bother me b/c i know it's not going to be G1 TF anyway. Plus I'm not really sure if Frank Welker's Megatron voice would go good with his new design... but that guy can do almost anything with his voice so I could be (and probly am) wrong
