cold air intakes

No they won't. So far Cosmo is the only one. Since it's winter, Cosmo should have them back in stock quite quickly. I have one on my '06 and I love it. Cut about 1 1/2" off the filter end of the intake and it will clear the foglight easier.

the first one will not cause it is for the GT's, i dont know about the second one for the corolla. from what i understand you can use intakes for previous yrs but there is some extra stuff involved, check the link and take a look at the post by VforVibe and Markt2717http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=24278http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=23919i wouldn't recommend putting one on untill the spring if you care about your gas milage, i always drops in the winter and will drop more so with an intake due to increased amount of air as i understand but i could be wrong

we get winter every so often right now its in the high 50s but in my area when it rains hard there are so areas that tend to get high waters

if your gettin a cold air you need to be careful with high waters and look into a bypass valve so you dont end up like nascarxprt did a lil bit ago, not tryin to scare you away tho. if you get high waters often you may want to consider a short ramhttp://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22731

its not that we get high waters all the time . its just in this one city of the 7 cities. pretty much when the call for hard rain and possible flooding around the area i pretty much stay in the areas where i know it doesnt flood. but the bypass aint a bad ideal, do you know anywhere i can get one?

I agree with the Short Ram Idea. Unless you have another car or don't drive alot when it's really rainy out. I guess I don't have alot fo room to tlak (seeing as I have niether), but my buddy had a CAI on his eclipse, and of course the rain got in, and bye bye engine. He just put the origional intake back on, and took it to the dealer under warranty claiming he has no idea what happened, but it's not worth the risk to me. I will give up the 5HP or whatever it is and get the SR over the CAI.

hmmmm.... Maybe it's just the luck of the draw. Who knows, maybe my buddy was getting the RPMs up high, and it was sucking in alot of Air, and took some water. That and an Eclipse is a bit lower than a Vibe. Who knows. Maybe it's all just a myth, I just know we have people here, and I know people that cause of the CAI, water got in... but it could have just been the circumstances.

there's no doubt it's an issue, but it takes more than a simple rain. 99% of the people on here with a CAI have never had a problem.
