Poker players, and a poker run....

First off, I was wondering who our poker players in here were? I like playing, I am not good, and I only play games with friends, usually we have like a $1 buy in or something silly like that. I like all kinds of poker, and wondered who plays and what thier game is.Next I was wondering what people thought of doing a "poker run". For those who don't knwo what that is, it's when we get a meet together, and we all put in like $3-4 at the beginning. We then have a specific places that we drive to, like little diners, cafes, or anywhere else we could stop and have like a coke or something. At every stop, every one gets to pick a card out of a deck. at the end of the day, who ever has the best hand wins. My dad does it with his "biker buddies" every few months, and it is pretty fun, just a cheep day to get out and all hang out. I was wondering if any one thought this would be a fun idea, or something to try. It might be better for you Michigan Folk to try since there are more of you in a close area. But if you Virginia or NC people want to try, I would set it up.

I've done that before in Winter while cruisin' on snowmobiles from place to place. A good way to spend the day.
