http://www.netgear.com/Product....aspxI have a Netgear wireless router, but I don't need the wireless part. How do I turn off the wireless part. The light keeps blinking like it's searching. I know it's not bad, but I just like to turn it off.I'll turn it back on when I do have a wireless laptop.I looked in the owners manual on line (and disc) and I don't see it. All I see is security settings. I did read that I can turn off the wireless LAN, but I don't know how.I'm a total rookie in the wireless/router/modem world. Please help and show me how. Any tips would be more than what I know.TIA

Go to http://192.168.1.1Username: adminPassword: password (default)it should load a configuration page for the router. On the left hand side should be a link for "wireless settings". You should be able to click on that section of the page then uncheck the box for "Enable wireless router radio"While you're in there, it would be a good idea to change the default password.
Thanks. I don't know why I didn't see that the first time. I think it's because it's under "Advance" Settings and the manual said "don't touch it."Thanks

My laptop see my network, but is not able to connect to it. I can connect to my neighbor's wireless. So I know the computer is ok.-I don't know what's wrong. Any ideas?- I try to reload the software, but it does not reset everything. How can I reload the software and start clean again?
