all speakers stopped working!!!

please help!!all of my speakers stopped working all at once!!!!my stereo still had power but no sound was coming out,,the display worked and everything!!!i changed my factory speakers with aftermarket,,,,which aint the problem,,i didnt have the moons and tunes package either,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i swapped out my factory deck with another factory deck and the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!i read in the owners manual there is a fuse,fusible link and somthing else that helps out with wiring to protect from fires!,,,,,my fuses are fine,,,i dont get it?????????????please help

you replaced the head unit AFTER the speakers stopped working??? cause that was my first thought... internal headunit amp.the fusible link is different then the fuses... its a wire that "burns through" when it is overloaded... I doubt this is the problem (but maybe)if the deck lights up and has function but no sound it is powered up and will not be a fuse. I would triple check your wiring, and triple check the deck. After that I can't help you over the net... and I'm sorry but I'm not driving to Whitby to do it either. good luck, hopefully more users chime in with their 2 cents.

I had my drivers side speaker stop working about a year ago. I'm hoping it's just the speaker, since I'm replacing them at income tax time.

well guess what,,,,they all started working again,,,i cranked it up and it stopped again,,,,,,,,i then went for another couple of drives again and it started working again,,,note this is after the car was started,and then the power button button was pressed,,,maybe the computer put the stereo in some sorta protection mode after i got that cd error????freakin weird,,,,seems odd though after my cd error my output from deck stopped working,,swapped out my deck with another factory deck and the same ****!!really weird,,,,either both of my decks have the same intermittent problem or its something else,,,decks power up fine,speakers work fine,fuses are fine,,what else could it be??a ghost?

FIXED FIXED FIXED,you wont beleive it,,,,,rain had gotten in the door and my speaker was wet on the + and - terminals,,,i guess it had shorted out the radio or confused it,,,i replaced the speaker with another and its totally fixed!!i was just going around banging the doors with my fist and when i hit the rear driver door my stereo started working again,,i then knew the problem was with that speaker!!!

good stuff... nice to hear it was an easy fix.i would make sure that you check the drain holes at the bottom of the door and maybe add some sort of protection on the terminals to prevent it from happening again!!!
