joining the painted grill club

Post by coldmm803 »

i've been wanting to do somethin with my grill for a while and finally did it. this morning i went to walmart and got some krylon fusion and painted my grill. since my vibe is neptune i figured that black would look best. it was a pain gettin those screws out of the top but after that it was smooth sailing, the slight breeze didnt help tho. when i was putting them back in the one scraped a lil, it looks worse in the pics than in person. while i was at it I also painted the "chrome" ring around the speedo n gauges and did the 2 lil "chrome" pieces under the radio.pics i'll get a pic of the interior when i can

questionthe can of spray paint says it works on metals, how do you think it would hold up on the roof rack bars?

I don't know how it would hold up, but didn't you use the same stuff to paint your grilles?

Hey man, it’s chromed plastic I think if it can hold up to love bug season on the grilles, and if it’s the same/close to the strength it is on plastic, you’ll be fine, and I believe it would look awesome. i think it will be fine on the roof racks cause we have that black plastic thing in front of the metal rail so it should hold up great!Quote, originally posted by VforVIBE »I'm an inspiration... wow, I feel loved... haha cole you forgot the evil laughdue to the rain there will be a delay on that pic of the interior. i should b able to grab one or 2 tom between clasesi really want to paint those rails but dont have the time or the tools at the moment. maybe i can do that over winter break or at the latest in the early spring while i'm on co-op... assuming that i get a job and dont have to continue to take classes cause i really need the break.. and money
