HELP! Vibe GT "Lift" not engaging

Post by Mr_Gasman »

Howdy, I have a stock 2005 Vibe GT, 13k miles. Today I noticed that "lift" is not engaging, rather at approx 6800RPM I get a "shuttering" effect and RPM does not increase. As soon as I back off of the gas the "shuttering" goes away. It appears that the shuttering occurs at the RPM point "Lift" is suposed to engage and stops when my RPM's fall below the cutoff point.Has anyone experienced this before? Anyone know what it is?Thanks!

Make sure the car has FULLY warmed up before trying to go into lift. Otherwise the rev limiter will kick in at the engagement point to prevent damage to a cold engine. The "stuttering" you describe is just the rev limiter cutting off fuel to the engine.
