So I was cutting through the back of this K-Mart. I flew around one of the corners of the building in the back and there was a semi coming out of the loading bay and I broadsided the trailor! I feeeel so stupid. Good thing is that the insurance is going to cover it afer I pay the deductable....I gues that's good news There was about $3200 in damage, as the windshield is shattered, the hood is crumbled inwards, which was good, because the carbon fiber hood was suposed to have been designed with crumple zones. The motor-mounts broke and the whole front end is smashed down. Fortunately I was not going fast enough to bend the frame...and the rims hardly touched so that was good. Not that exciting though, the whole front end is destroyed. This pic was taken right after I hit it. it rolled back a little after I hit. No injuries to me either fortunately.
OH, NO! At least you are ok! Glad to hear the hood did what it was suppose to. Sorry to hear about your baby! You'll have to get some daytime pics for us as well. Good Luck on the repairs.

Actually I didn't hit a semi. I just parked the nose underneath the trailor. It almost looks real though doesn't it?!?!? Think of it like a late April fools I got another angle of it, but that one would have given the prank away. I'll post it in a little bit. Thanks for the concern though. Atleast if it did happen I would know I have support from the community I'm not good at pranks so I felt guilty and decided to expose the joke.

Then was crash tested countless times then re-engineered it to provide the best impact absorption in conjunction with the rest of the car just like the stock metal hood was! hehehe

I would make some joke about the prank being extra plausible given the identity of the driver, but it might be taken as other than random humor, so I won't even mention it

I read the first post in this thread and my first thought was "wow he's taking this quite calmly considering how upset he gets over much smaller things happening regarding his Vibe..." so I guess I'm not surprised that it was a prank. Now if he had waited until April 1st it would have been much more obvious that it was a prank... guess this was a Hallwe'en prank?

(removed)...yeah you're right, if this really happened I would probably explode with anger even though it would have been my fault lol. If it was totally becasue of someone else I would probably be in jail I would have given a chuckle at that Joat lol.
Yep, if there wasn't bodily injury which occurred post-crash, the accident never happened. Now, if there was talk of making the other party drink hot antifreeze, peel their skin off and pour gas all over their body, then crack the battery over top of them so they get a nice bath in battery acid, strangling them with a serpentine belt, then wedge them under the trailer wheels and proceed to back up and go forward over the body repeatedly... Then, we know you were in an accident.

If anything ever happens to my car, as much as I love it, I would be more like "cool, now thanks to the gap insurance I can finally get out from underneath the last three cars I've owned! Now I can start fresh and buy something new!" hehehe!Actually, I had this one post from Merzbow in mind where he was talking all kinds of crazy stuff, I think it involved a gas pump and strangling somebody with the hose among other things. lol!
