On Sunday afternoon, she died.At the scene of the accident, which blocked both northbound lanes, Alexander told police she had been at a wedding about an hour earlier and had a couple of drinks, according to court documents. Later, she recalled consuming three margaritas and one beer, documents state.Police noted a "strong odor" of alcohol on her despite a strong wind. She told police she lost control of the vehicle after she hit a slick spot on the roadway while talking on a cell phone.Alexander, who gave a voluntary blood sample while at The Med, was released from jail before her friend's death Sunday. Bond was set at $8,000 for the intoxicated assault charge - a third-degree felony. Results of the blood test were not released Sunday.Authorities said the charge probably will be changed to intoxicated manslaughter, which is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.Another passenger - Spring resident Brandy Twyshelle Hernandez - also was taken to The Med on Saturday but later discharged.Drinking and driving cell phone use a contributing factor I assume that the victim, although a passenger, wasn't wearing a seat belt, in order to be thrown from the car when it flipped. The driver apparently sustained no injuries needing medical attention, the other passenger was treated and released. Apparently it was safer to stay in the car.one life ended, others completely screwed for stupid things. Be careful out there
