I was a big bonehead and killed my mirror (distraction + tight exit from garage = trouble) The motor or whatever is still attached but the glass is broken out and the mirror backing is at a very odd angle. Any idea what this will cost me to get repaired? We're not too good with tinkering with our cars so it will go off to the dealership or a body shop. I'm hoping my boneheaded mistake won't be too costly.I have a 2003. My poor baby
no fix... replacement required.not sure on price- guess is a couple hundred bucksit's not tough to replace... you can try or your dealer will do it. Bodyshop not required.that sucks, sorry to hear it.
CAN-AWD-VIBE03 Neptune AWDInjen CAI, Hotchkis springs, custom magnaflow exhaust w/4" tip, tint, window deflectors, stubby antenna, 3pc Mr. Grille, foglight conversion mod, Grafxwerks front & steering wheels overlays, Injen oil cap, strut tower brace, P225/45R17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, 17" ADR Sokudos
about 200 hundred bucks or more if installed by dealer. you might find one cheaper on ebay or car-parts.com if you dont mind a used one. its really easy to change one if you decide to do it yourself. if you good les than 10 mins.

My Vibe was hit by another car a couple of weeks ago and tore off the driver's side mirror. They took care of the repair cost, but I'll check and see what the estimate was. As satur9 said, it's not a difficult install and you could probably do it yourself in less than 30 minutes. You can get the part from gmpartsdirect.com for under $110 with shipping (P/N 88969940), but it's always worth a looksee on eBay.
Thanks, everyone! The quotes I got were for about $185 installed. I went ahead and had the dealership do it because they could get the part fast and do it right away, and I have a lot of driving to do in the next few weeks and feel much more confortable having my mirror. Spending the money sucked but it was less than I initially thought it would be, so that was good.I'm impressed by the discounts at gmpartsdirect but didn't want to wait a few weeks to fix this. And while I do have many talents, I'm pretty timid about trying to replace the mirror myself. I will definitely keep the website in mind for future projects that as I feel ready to try them
