GM has already sold out their entire inventory of SSR accessories to an outside company (and that company's name is not available to even the dealer's yet!!). The thing has only been out of production a little over 9 months, and GM decided to divest itself of the accessories already...(even though, at last report, GM still had some brand new, unsold SSR's waiting to be shipped to willing Victi.....I mean Dealers). The reason I bring this up here.....the SSR was a GM product....can you imagine what will happen when they drop our Vibe???

Theres a reason it didnt do well , a few small reasons one 1st and formost the cost plz a 50 K truck you cant haul anything other than your golf clubs in. Great orginal idea just cant make a truck/ car for 50 k and expect people to fall for it funny thing is i would see them on the showrooms with 12k off the orignal stickers GM lost the (removed) on this thing....
I remember when the SSR was coming out, many people were comparing it to the El Camino. Not for $50k and with such a small bed!I bet they would have sold many more vehicles if all Chevy did is bring back the El Camino (Holden UTE) and sold it for $20k.
They had the Corvette engine and were wickedly fast. They were definately worth the money but the styling didn't catch on. I saw a Boyd Coddington SSR on Ebay and it was beautiful. Only $40,00.00 too.

Still a lot of HP for a Colorado Frame....yes...the SSR was built in the small truck frame!!

The HP #s are the same between the SSR, the Corvette coupe and Corvette Convertible.
