Hi guys, I am currently having a problem installing the K&N filter I just got. This is the model I got: http://www.knfilters.com/searc...-2252I popped out the old filter and for some reason just couldn't fit the K&N filter in there. It seemed too wide to fit in the slot. Any ideas what could be the issue? I guess it didn't help that the instruction sheet that came with the filter was for a Suburu WRX. Thanks!-Dave
I had a similar problem with one I ordered directly from them for my VW Ghia. It ended up being a quality control issue. While the box had the correct part number the contents were wrong. I ended up having to call thim directly, mailing the orginal one back and they sent me another one. Unfortunatly that one was also the wrong part in the right box. So after another call the guy I talked to had the warehouse send the part to him, he verified the part and sent it to me.Good luck, they are friendly, bu thave them send you the part with a retun label so you dont have to put any more money out of pocket.
K&N is definately easy to deal with. I bought an FIPK intake for my former S10. When I installed it I was missing a grommet for the intake temp sensor. Not a big deal, I got one at the hardware store for 35 cents. But, I emailed them about it anyway. They sent one out by next day UPS and said they would have quality control check the remaining stock in their warehouse. I honestly didn't even expect a reply... Drop them a line, they will make it right.BTW, does the K&N filter have any part numbers on the filter itself?

Thats a good point, there will be a part number embossed on it somewhere. That is their internal part number. That will tell them exactly what filter you received.
I just checked and sure enough it was the wrong filter in the right box! A 33-2232 in a 33-2252 box...sounds like someone needs some quality control...
