No Bass W/ Factory Amp

I have a 2003 Vibe w/ M&T. One weekend I lost all the bass from the factory amp. All 6 speakers work. I purchased a 2004 Vibe Factory Amp from Ebay. See recent post in F/S Forum.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItemEverything I ever found on this website says the '03 & '04 wiring and amp are the same between those years.The problem being is I connected the Ebay amp and don't have any rear speakers now. I put the no bass amp in and get the rear speakers to work but still have no bass. Before I email the Ebay seller that the amp is bad I need to know if for some reason there is a difference between the '03 & '04 amp and/or wiring. Anyone have an answer????

I don't know for sure Do the amps have part numbers on them, and are they the same?Welcome to genvibe

The amps do have different part numbers. But they both use the same connectors. They also look physically the same including the bracket.I would bet that if I looked inside both, there wouldn't be any difference.Even with different part numbers, the wiring diagram is still the same. Both amps should work the same based on that.Also, both the '03 & '04 M&T do NOT have the subwoofer yet.

I can't imagine any difference between the 03 and 04 that would cause the bass to not work when you switched amps, so I think you are on solid ground going back to the seller to say the amp you bought from them is bad. That seller is all over ebay motors, they have over 27 thousand feedback, so I'm sure they run into things like this a lot, and they will probably make it right for you.
