I wish I could recommend them, but they don't seem worth it to me, not on the Vibe. The biggest problems I noted were difficulty keeping the thing going straight (tended to wander), significantly magnified torque steer (even at speed, nail the throttle from 45 MPH cruise and watch it slide all over the road), and sliding sideways under hard braking. It would literally slide to the side when using maximum braking power. MPG dropped 3.5 when using these tires. Positives? The ride was very quiet and smooth. The tires soaked up many bumps that the stock RS-As wouldn't. But it was far from catching them all. What tires would I suggest? Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. Handling is dead on, I don't hardly feel any torque steer and it is again, dead on for braking. The ride is as quiet as the ComforTreds and even smoother than the ComforTreds. Handling feels like performance tires when you push them, communicating the limits and gripping is excelent. Mileage, though not fully determined yet looks to be good. Whatever Michelin did for these tires is nothing short of amazing! Performance when you need it, comfort and quietness for general use.

thanks for the review!i wondered about them...i've got michelin hydroedge and they are a bit on the noisy side but work REALLY well in the rain and on dry they're pretty good too.the snow last winter was handled better than the continentals that came with the car and better than the BF Goodrich Comp T/A's i had on my VW....but the VW was better in the snow anyways.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
You comparing a High performance all season tire(Michelin) to a Passenger Touring all season tire(Goodyear). It's apples to oranges.I have heard pretty much good reviews for the comforttred's across the board. But the Pilots did get even better reviews. Glad they are working for you. It's good too see reviews from other tires than are not heard about as often. The pilots should be a consideration for people wanting a high performance all season tire. Thanks for the review.

Hummm, looks like the ComforTred tested pretty good against other tires, including Michelin. I'm glad I got the TripleTreds.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...pe=AS
No loss in mileage with my comfort treds. Change was made at 13K miles.Per the handling again little difference with "normal" driving but the ride is better. Performance is not my kick any more, been there done that.

Thanks for the review.Yes, I understand that, however, I think it is important to point out the fact tha the thing practically slides when I have to brake hard. It happens from time to time. You get behind a huge SUV with a driver on the cell phone and they don't brake until the last minute. I'm just amazed that the Pilots are as quiet and as comfortable as the ComforTreds. So if they are only a few bucks more and are available, there really is no reason to get the ComforTreds.

When Pontiac replaced my Contis under the TSB, they installed ComforTreds. I hated every minute of them. Same complaints about wandering and torque steer. At the time, Goodyear was offering a 30 day trial, so I had the Goodyear dealer swap for TripleTreds. Night and day difference.I'll be putting a set of TripleTreds on my Accord soon.
