Loose Drivers Seat...

Post by abronco1 »

Hey Everyone, I just got my Vibe today!!! It's so very awesome, and LOVE It to death!! Though I noticed later tonight that after I adjusted the seat height so that I sit up a little higher. My seat "feels" like the bottom part (the part you actually sit on) is loose...it feels like it is moving up and down, side to side about a quarter inch or so. I didn't notice it prior to using the seat height....Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any suggestions?

I have my seat adjusted so that it is all the way up to the top, and have never noticed any loose feeling. Take it to the dealership immediately. If you were to be in an accident (hopefully not), loose seats can mean the difference between minor injuries, and well, the unfortunate.

I noticed when we first got our Vibe in August that the passenger front seat seemed loose - it felt like when we stopped at a red light it would move, like it wasn't locked into place. But that problem seems to have fixed itself and I haven't noticed any problems with the seats in a long time.

No problems here. Try lifting the adjusting lever in the front, slide it back, then forward again, and make sure it locks into place. If it still moves, definitely get it checked out immediately. That is not something you want to put off. But I also have mine as high as it goes, and have no problems with it. I'm actually quite pleased with how high I can sit in this car. I had to drive my dad's Grand Am while i was getting my dashboard fixed, and I was SO low, and I couldn't adjust height at all. I hated it.
