A couple of different things....Saturday night I got home from my part time job--exhausted. Sunday morning I get up and realize I had left my car out, which I never do. Then I realized it was raining out....THEN I realized the front windows were down a couple inches AND the moonroof was WIDE open! Front seats were soaked, dash was wet, all the nooks and crannies were wet--I was MAD! I think it's ok now though...it sort of dried out throughout the day, then I borrowed my best friend's industrial fan and let it blow in there all night. Just need to go Febreeze the heck out of the seats, and it should be fine. I was VERY upset that I drown-ded my baby. But on a happier note....guy comes up to me at work today and says "Pontiac Vibe, right?" I say yup. He asked how I liked it and told me his wife wants one pretty bad. So I sang the praises, and gave him a sticky note with 'genvibe.com' written on it, and told him to check out the forums--lots of great information out here. He said she wanted something with room for their Husky and I told him there is even a thread about where people's dogs ride in the car! So hopefully there will be another new Vibe in our parking lot soon! Well...probably not since it would be his wife's car, but still.
sorry about the seats... i dont have a moonroof, but left a window cracked a few times... NO BUENO i tell ya.you know how it goes, guys sign up for the wifes VIBE until the catch the mod bug and now its HIS car!!!
Must resist.... V... Tec.... Temptation... to strong... "WARNING: Genvibe is a very addictive website... constant use can result in car modification and a lowering of your bank account. use with extreme caution!http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2298639
LOL Is that how it works? He did say he noticed mine and liked the color, and loved the orange. I told him the orange overlays didn't come on the car--I had to do those myself. So maybe he will get the itch. He already mentioned that it would be fun to have the GT so I told him he'd have to find it used. Which is what I think they are looking at anyway.
well at least yours still ran after it got wet mine was a bouie for a while. for some reason everytime i see a vibe or matrix and ask em how they like the car and if they have heard about the site, if not i tell them go over and check it out its a great place real friendl and very infromative. but no one has actually signed up. so im just going to stop. and give up trying. (end tiny rant)but yea i too dont have the moon roof either but glad you wont have any mold problems.
I had the same thing happen with my last car, the sunroof was left open, luckily I had the leather seats and the rain was over quick. If we see a new member with an orange vibe, we'll know who recruited him or her.
Maybe they read the political asylum and got scared away! genvibers are nothing, if not opinionated

I WANT to recruit people but there just aren't any to recruit. Most people here in SFSD with Vibes are older. Although I do see one satellite monotone that looks just a wee bit tricked out--I wish I could figure out where it lives so I could invite it to gvc. Maybe someday I'll see it stopped so I can let them know.
Same here. It seems like I always see grandma behing the wheel. None of the vibes around here are modified. I never even knew people modified Vibes, until I stumbled on this forum. Of course, look who's talking, the only mod mine has is the Pioneer I installed.

We've had this discussion before, but most people don't even wave when they see another Vibe. I get so used to being here all day with people who dig their cars. Then I get out in the real world and see one and get all excited, and they are just getting from point A to point B so it's no big deal to them. What a let down.
I've tried waving to people and they look at me like I'm some kind of nut.

I like what Mrizzle said about the wife's vibe. The one I am modding and taking a liking to is my wife's. Ten years ago, I vowed to never buy anything with a 4-banger in it ever again (but that was before gas hit $3 per gallon). My car is a v6 camaro, but I find myself driving the 1.8l vvti 4-banger whenever I can. I miss the system from my camaro, though. Never fear, the audio for the vibe is next on the long list of future upgrades...
