That is no concept. They are making those right here in Lansing. I heard that they were making a couple of pace cars for the Indy 500 a couple days ago on the radio. That looks really cool with the flames on it.

As far as I know they are coming to a dealer near you, very soon....See http://www.chevrolet-ssr.de They say that a SSR will be actioned off on ebay! See http://www.chevrolet.com/ss/ There will be a whole line of SS's including the SSR.
