Check engine light (CAI)

I installed a short ram on my ride and the check engine light came on a couple day's later, Help! Is this going to be an on going problem? or then I'll go back to stock...... nuvibe

Make sure you that unhooked the battery after you installed it to reset the ECU. Then let the car idle for 10 minutes. You also want to make sure everything is connected correctly and tightened. Be careful of the MAF sensor because it's easily damageable and you may want to clean it.

yea take the negative off the battery for 10 min the plug back in. what SRI did you get? oiled filters can dirty the maf sensor and make it throw a CEL, you can try some MAF cleaner on the sensor.

Make sure the MAF is in the right way too. That will cause a CEL. Do you know what the code is?

If you used an oil gauze filter, you may want to clean the MAF also before you reset.
Vibe GT, TRD springs, Progress bar, STB, Unichip, Borbet E 16x7.5, 225/50 Bridgestone RE750, beefed up grounds and battery bypass capacitors(had em laying around)

Sorry for the late reply. MAF is clean so I'm going to double check every thing. Plus I called my brother and he helped me and went through some thing's with me to check also, he's a smog tech... nuvibe
