4000 miles... 31mpg avg
I have an '06 base model Vibe with an automatic transmission and am happy to report that my mpg has averaged 31( AC on = 31, AC Off = 32). I drive 50/50 city - highway.I am hoping that this figure will increase over time.

We're practically neighbors. I literally live a stones throw away from Gates County. My '06 5-speed is averaging 32 mpg with the AC on all the time. The best that I got so far (that I took the time to calculate) was 34 mpg. I just went over 3600 miles. I could probably do better if I tried. I "try" to shift at or below 4000 rpm and stay around 65 mph on the highway. I'm liking the money I'm saving on gas.

that's good news! I just bought a base 03 AUTO and managed to squeeze 408 miles from one tank of gas....and that was driving avg 80mph. Since then I've jacked the tire pressures up to 35psi all the way around...I completely topped off the gas tank when I filled it up so we'll see how far she'll go.
