Ok so the SC is fully installed. It starts up fine with factory ECU.I plugged in the supplied TRD ECU and does not start. The car cranks, but will not start.Any ideas?BTW car is a 03 AUTO Corolla. I installed a GM supercharger with a GM auto ECU(still comes stamped as TRD).Things ruled out1) TRD ECU adapter (swapped with Warlords and still does not start)2) Wiring3) SC install (it starts up without TRD ECU)I am pretty lost and without a car right now haha. Any ideas as to what else to do or check?I do have a CEL, charging my PDA right now, so will go pull it up in a bit.NOW I need you SCed guys to do a favor, please check and tell me what the ECU part number is for auto and for manual!Ok I THINK I found the problem. The part number on the ECU box for auto Vibe is 00602-17620-127BUT!!!! On my ECU the number s 00602-17620-132!I am trying to find some info, I THINK I have the wrong ECU, perhaps the 5speed ECU?
I cannot find part numbers, I can find TRD numbers, but not for vibe. If you guys who have it could please post the P/N off your ECU I would really appreciate it. Also if someone has an auto ECU they are willing to send out, let me know! Thanks!
I'll go check mine (auto) and get the P/N for you. BRBEdit, back! I have a GM plate. Also, the part number on my ECU is 00602-17620-132. You have the right ECU for an auto as far as I know, and mine has been running with it for quite some time now. I had the same problem and it was the adapter, but you said you swapped it for a working adapter, so not sure on that. Not sure what it could be, but if it works without the ECU it must be wiring somewhere.

I think if it was a MAF it would be gone with or without the TRD ECU. This one is confusing, nut so was mine when the ECU adapter went out. I had to bust it open practically to find 2 wire runs melted off the board! Did you swap the TRD ECU wiring harness as well. Sounds like a very good possibility if the adapter didn't pan out. If you have a local buddy with a set-up, do like Phil and I did and swap it all both ways. Take your ECU, harness, and adapter and put it in his car and see if it starts. If not, work your way down until you find the problem. Know that it may take a few tries before the car will start again if it is one of these problems.

I had the Unichip already, but I tried the TRD ECU just for S&G's. It didn't work the first time. Then after a couple months I figured out that I had it wired wrong. Used the long red wire instead of the short red wire. Or something like that. I just didn't have power going to the piggy back ecu.

IC, thanks for the info! I am pretty sure we have the right wire connected. Can check again tomo. Thing is I went over wiring and then my friend did as well.

Quote, originally posted by yeye »Really? Would a Toyota Dealership test it?I talked to a GM performance dealership and they said they would.Well, if you found someone that will then that's awesome. Allof the Pontiac dealers around here didn't have the knowledge or tools to do anything with the S/C. You could always call a Toyota dealer first, especially if you are paying for it. GM tends to overcharge by quite a bit!
