Repair Manual for the Pontiac Vibe

Post by Cats_Squirrel »

Has anyone come across a repair manual for the Vibe. It used to be you could pick one up for any vehicle at your local parts store. Only thing I can find is a complete GM set of CD's for several hundred dollars. The repair manual usually cost about $20.00...........

When I had my Grand Am and Mom's Bonneville and did the servicing on them, I bought the factory service manuals from Helm-the GM factory manuals the dealers used. It was a long time ago, and can't remember what I paid-I think like $40-nowhere near what they cost now: $135! (or $400 on DVD!) http://www.helminc.com

I got the Vibe service manuals new off of eBay for $60 shipped. You just have to keep checking eBay, and they show up occasionally.

This won't help with all Vibe-related repairs (like body-specific work), but I use this website a lot for engine and chassis work. It has pdfs from the Toyota 2003 Matrix service manualhttp://www.absoluteingenuity.n.../2003/The website appears to be down as I type this, but check back again.

I probly already know the answer to this but why doesn't chiltons (or other similar companies) publish those books for current vehicles? Do they have some sort of aggrement with the car manufacturer?

The only link I see active now is http://www.trixology.org/Repair , which is the online version of the manual. The zip file is 50MB large, so I believe it cannot be uploaded to this forum, or easily emailed to you.
