Well, I will admit I was a fair-weather fan this year for the Astros, but they are making the finish as exciting as the previous two years. With five games to play, they're only 1½ games behind the St. Louis Cardinals. Now, almost every article I've read says that St. Louis has six games left (hence, the half game). However, I was trying to find out where that sixth game was, since they only have one more with San Diego and four with Milwaukee. Turns out it is a postponed game with San Francisco. That game will ONLY be played if St. Louis is ½-game ahead or behind the Astros after the Milwaukee series. It would be played on Monday, October 2 in San Fransisco. Then, if they end up tied with Houston, the Cardinals and Astros would battle it out in Houston the next day.Wow...and it's not for the wild card folks!!!
Maybe...but not without a fight! Both won last night (Astros in 15 innings...sound familiar?) so we're still 1½ games out. But Milwaukee is no pushover...
its gonna be a close one. tha Astros have gone 8-0 since their games between St. Louis. and they Will be in the Play offs this year as well.and i agree with Zuben that this is gonna be a very excitin game to the Wild-card Games.
Unfortunately, the only way the 'Stros will make it to the playoffs is by winning the division. The wild card is too far ahead...Dodgers or Phillies for that.
