Toyota carb # on Vibes

Post by shibaman »

I was going to buy a AEMcai and called them to ask about the carb #and was told that the only one that was pending was the Matrix. At this time they have no plans to certify the Vibe. What this means is that when it is time to smog your Vibe with a AEM or TRD carb # it won't match your car and you can't pass smog. I am not sure about Injen. Some one should call Injen and see what they say. How frustrating! You will have to change it back to stock for smog and then re-install it again. Any thoughts? This is for us California people only.

Yeh - I had an opportunity to work in LA a number of years ago - GREAT job! BUT, in the recruitment literature they included this really big panorama shot of the city and surrounding areas - nothing but endless people and buildings! I turned them down.
