this is probobally a stupid question but considering the base and gt share the same engine is there a way to tune the base into the gt? If not what can u do to give it more horses before the header and such
its possible to get it faster just with alot of coin.... just because they are both 1.8's there not the same engine the GT i believe is more bigger in size and has a bigger intake monifold, cams, and other beautiful wonderful stuff your best bet to get fast is to use nos lol j/k but if you like modding they do have turbo kits and super charger kits for the 1zz so you can get faster like that other then that its prety much going to be slow lol cause i to have a base vibe and wished it was faster

That means that the GT'(removed) what's called "lift" at about 6000 rpm and it gives a sudden boost in power.
as far as researching turbos and s/c, the best place is really matrixowners.com. there are a few turbo kits available for the 1zz. Devlop had one and so did faultline. they aren't cheap, you'll need (most likely) someone to install it and make sure it's all working so you don't blow your engine. may also want to upgrade brakes and clutch with all that additional HP/Tq.
