Floating away

Post by ColonelPanic »

Yuck... Hasn't been too great down in southern Indiana down through Kentucky. Louisville got hit pretty hard, even closed I-64 for quite some time. Got to listen to the action on the scanner last night from both sides of the river, it was nuts! They were climbing in boats and going out to pull people out of homes and cars left and right. Some pics:BTW... My detour to get to work today took me on an expressway that runs near these apartments. Ironically, they have a banner on one of their buildings that reads FREE WATER. No ****! http://www.courier-journal.com...ef=PHhttp://www.courier-journal.com...ef=PHhttp://www.courier-journal.com...ef=PHhttp://www.courier-journal.com...ef=PHFortunately, I kept dry *but* could have come close to losin' the almighty Hyundai, methinks! Had there been a bit more water flooding the street, I probably would have been in pretty bad shape. The more I look at the pics, the more I see I was pretty dang lucky.I hope everybody around that was hit by these storms can dry out soon!

I didn't realize that the weather was so bad down there. I guess I haven't been watching the news much this weekend. Where all was getting hit?
