Hello all. I don't know if this question has been addressed so her it goes. Does anyone have a suggestion for brighter driving/fog lights and brighter backup lights? I know the kind to get for the regular headlights-silverstar all the way! Had them in my 4X4 before the Vibe and they were awesome! But is there any really BRIGHT lights/bulbs that I can install in those locations? Thanks for all the advice.

i have seen 55 watt back up bulbs before but cant remember the number and i'm not sure if they were the same as our vibe's backup bulb number. I think there may be one available and the 55watt ones would be way brighter than stocks.as far as the stock Fog bulbs they are standard low beam bubls 9006. My S-10 had these as the low beams. Many other quad beam lights use this same bulb as well...You may try SS or other aftermarket 9006 bulb in your fog positions as well but many have not had long life in the vibe with the silverstars. esp in the stanard headlight position
Ditto with Katscan...I purchased SilverStars for my headlights but I also aimed them up a few degrees. They're set a tad low from the factory, search the forums for a howto. That's made all the difference between my OEM headlights looking like a pair of bug lights to some decent night busters.Silverstars give off a whiter light especially after they burn in... when they're brand new there's a tinge of blue, but not obnoxous levels. A month or two and they're white as paper.Don't forget to keep your low beams to a decent output - I don't appreciate asshats driving around with HIDs aimed at my head putting out 4 million candella just to show they got something I don't.
Will definately go with the silverstars for the headlights. But do they make a silverstar bulb for the fog lights? Backup lights?

they said above... the fog lamp is a 9006 i believe. pretty much a head light bulb. as for backup light... im not sure what size it is.If you have your owners manual, look inside for the replacement light guide for the correct size bulb. then try an auto store or ebay for different types of bulbs.Just an opinion.good luck

Here is the Exterior Replacement Bulb Guide: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6871I have Silverstar Heads, Fogs & Turns. Not sure if they make Silverstar back-up lights though. If they do I'll be getting them as well.

Ok First time post for me. Just purchaced my 06 vibe last weekend and bought some new silverstar headlights for my vibe but I am at a loss on how to go about installing them. I used to own an 04 cavalier and the entire headlight had to be removed to get to the bulb. Could someone give me some step by step instructions on how to go about installing the headlights. Possibly even the fog lights too. They will be next on my list to be replaced.Photos would be a nice touch but not needed. Thanks

The headlights... all you really gotta do is remove the cover on the inside near the battery and on the other headlight... thus showin the bulb with a spring clip holding it in place.Just pop the clip off, remove the head light bulb and put the new one in... the tricky part is getting that spring back in. it took me a lil bit to figure it out but its pretty easy. The fog light is easy, just remove the black weather gaurd underneath the car and you should be able to see the housing.Youll prolly have to jack up your car to get under there with enough room to work with.Hope this helps, as its been a while since i did mineOh and welcome keithvibe

I bought a set of PIAA 7440 backup lights last week on Ebay. I'll let you know how they work when they arrive and I get them installed. I've got 15% tint and live in the country with a very long dark laneway. With several cars in the lot, it's sometimes necessary to back out and it's not easy to see.
