Auto Lights adjustments

Hi everyone... first time writer, short time follower. I read some threads about people who disabled their auto lights, but has anyone ever adjusted them? I just purchased my 2003 Vibe in May, 2006 so I don't know much about it's history. But here is what happens... If I start my car in the evening when the sun is starting to go down, the auto lights come on. But if I start it in complete darkness... they don't. Sometimes if I start the car in complete darkness I manually turn the lights on, then after 10 mins. or so I can turn them to the off position, and the lights will stay on.Is there an a place to adjust the settings? Any help would be appreciated.

There is a delay when in the dark and the headlamps coming on, possibly this is what you notice. In my garage and in the dark, they do not come on immediately either but after a few seconds. The 2003's seems to be the most sensitive in having the lights come on too soon at times as well. At any rate, this sounds normal. You cannot adjust it but do what you already do and turn them on manually. Welcome to the site!

Thanks for your thoughts. It is more then a couple of seconds that I wait, usually I drive about 5 or 10 Kilometers (that is as long as my wife will let me drive without lights on in the back... laughing here) before I put them on manually. Thanks again, and thanks for the welcome. Cool site!
