So the same guy that owned the Ferrari 430 I drove a month or so ago has quite a few other cars including an Enzo. He invited me to a little get togather he goes to every Saturday morning at a place called Autozone on Woodward and 14 mile. This isn't an average Autozone, instead of car parts, this one sells model cars and momorabilia/collector type stuff. We usually hang out in this parking lot on friday and saturday nights when we cruise Woodward so it was ironic the car meet took place here.Anyways, There were about 20-30 cars piled into this tiny parking lot including his Enzo, a Vector W8 Twin Turbo, old late 50's Lamborghini and Ferrari, Lamboghini Jalpa, A few Ford GTs and also a Ford GTX1 beleive it or not, an old old old Bentley, a few Alfa Romeos and Renaults, Lotus Super7 and Elise and a bunch of others came and went. This Enzo of his though...GORGEOUS car. It's one thing to see it in a picture but when you see it in person it literally makes your heart race. Everything in it was carbon fiber...dashboard, floor, doors, steering wheel, paddle shifters, seats, mirrors, everything. The seats were such a good fit, everything just felt beautiful inside of it. The sound the engine makes when it is running is indescribable. There is not anotehr car on this planet that sounds this good in my opinion. So instead of trying ot explain it I posted a video on street fire.Click here to see VideoNOW here are some pictures of his car and a couple of the others:That's me! tee hee ^ lol
Thanks. There were a few of those Vettes there. One of them was actually converted into a Corvette wagon with the '57 front end and rear end if you can imagine that. The guy that owns that Autozone is the one that converts them The guy with the Enzo is getting his Z06 done now.
thats flippin awesome man must be nice to be riding in it, you dont see that kind of stuff where i live you get excited when you see a supra or an G35 skyline lol but ive seen lotus's and things like that but not an enzo pretty cool man
yea i feel ya Jorge i havent seen any Enzos but i have see quite a few Ferrari 350 modenas an F40 racing a 360 Challenge getting pulled over by 5 marked cop cars and 1 undercover car. i have also seen my share of Lambos. those G35's are extremly common up here and the Lotus are 1 every so often like 1 every 2-3 month maybe. there is a dealer here that sells high performance luxury cars and suv's the place is called Hovey Motorcars. heres the web site http://www.hoveymotorcars.com/oh and Merzbow you should of gotten a pic of that vette wagon! but IMO i think that that vette with the converison that you have posted should only have the rear part of it removed it would look alttile cleaner to me, but that still is a kick asre kit!
360 Modena I know Ferrari better than any other company lol.Yeah I think the entire kit and installation runs about 20-40,000 if Im not mistaken. It is a perfect fit though and takes about 8-10 weeks to complete so it is done right with propper machines and knowledge Plsu teh initial cost of the Vette, or in Ken's case Z06 for $45,000 which I gues isn't too bad with 12,000 miles. To be honest with you though, I would be more surprised to see that Vector on the road than the Enzo just because there are like less then 30 of those W8 Twin Turbos left in the world if I'm not mistaken. Overall it was a great day jsut to be in the presence of some of those guys and talk to them about there cars. Ken introduced me to alot of his friends there and they all have a nice collection from what I hear. Most of them race their cars too like at the Waterford speed way. They have this race simulator arcade style and they can tune their ars exactly how they have them in real life and test them on simulated tracks from around hte world.
wow! That's awesome. You and you're friend need to have a road trip to come see all of your genvibe buddies I wish people around here had cars like that...
