2.89 for regular unleaded here. This was one of the deciding factors for me getting a Vibe. I was looking at either the Vibe/Matrix or a Nissan Crew Cab. 16 mpg to 20 mpg on the Nissan made me go for the Vibe.
Ya know, if GM doesn't get the picture here and start pushing the Vibe, then they deserve to go down. Sheesh.I'll be filling up this afternoon...guessing it'll be over $2.90 by the time I get to the pump...
The other night I went to an ARCO. ARCO's are cash only stations so I actually had to make human contact for my change and go see the attendant. The woman in front of me was actually paying with dimes and pennies! 5 dimes and 98 pennies for a grand total $1.48 on pump #3. At $3.09/gal, that totals a whopping 0.48 gallons. After I got my change and walked out, I checked to see what she was driving...a late 70s Chevy LUV. So, if she somehow was able to get 15 miles out of a gallon, that would get her 7 miles.
*bump!* $2.99 now in most places... Although I scored bigtime with $2.79, got there before they changed the price up like everybody around them. lol!Figured this would be good for a bump since we're approaching a holiday to see how those oil companies are stickin' it to us...

That's nothing guys and gals....it varies between cities and islands here.$3.39 a gallon for 92 octane in Makakilo, HI (where I live-FAR FROM TOWN). IN TOWN, it is between $3.46 to $3.51 a gallon for 92 octane.
Yikes, that's kinda rotten! $3.51 is a wee bit expensive. Especially when you're probably spending out the wazoo on everything else too. Go get a pizza, a soda, and fill the tank up and you're probably getting close to $100. Ahh, living in paradise comes at a price eh?

Yippie, it was $2.98 right before the 4th, then dropped to $2.92 before yesterday, which thankfully is what I ended up filling the tank at.Right now: $3.08.

I paid $3.11 for 11gallons of 87 today. For 350 miles. About 31mpg.At least thats better than $3.35 for 13.5 gallons of premium. For 300 miles. About 22mpg Which is what my WRX would have cost me. Bonus the Vibes Break in period is now over

Just filled up at Sam's Club for 2.85/gallon. As I was finishing up, a guy at the next pump starts asking me what kind of mileage I get with the Vibe. (We average 30mpg with our automatic) He said he was looking at a used Vibe and wanted to find something to replace his +200,000 mile Honda. I didn't have time to give him the info about genvibe.com (cranky 2 month old in the backseat) Just thought I'd share.

I don't know if this counts but this week I did pay $1.23/litre for premium for my Harley. Thats roughly 5 bucks a gallon. This was up on the Canadian side of Lake Superior and regular was $1.16-$1.18/litre. The cheapest I saw was $96.3/litre in Bellevelle Ont. Saw a ton of Vibes and Matrixs up there and even a Fusion Vibe in this little tiny town in the middle of nowhere. Way cool.
yesterday was discount day at chevron... $2.85. Cheapest ive seen it anywhere. wallet feels better now instead of payin $3.30. stupid gas prices!

It is $2.19 in Omaha. Don't know if we will see it fall below 2 bucks or not, but we can hope. It feels good to be able to fill my car up for $25 again, it has been a while. In the last month it would go down like $.02 every other day. Is that pathetic or what? 5 years ago we were screaming because gas was $2, now it is fantastic. Hate to see it in five more years. $4.00 might be looking good.
Well I just paid 2.46 today last fill was about a month ago and was 2.99 and before that was 3.199 the first weekend of august. Now the question is how low will we go before going back up to a another record high?

Paid 2.09 today, while several stations across town were in a price war at 1.99.I NEVER thought I'd think 1.99 was a deal, but we've been conditioned so well by the oil companies that most would wait in line to buy gas that inexpensive.

Here, here..... I too told my wife that we, (the American public) would be giddy to see gas prices at $2 per gallon. We've all been brainwashed to think that these prices are something to get excited about.I'm 41 years old, have an '04 Vibe, a BEAUTIFUL '91 240sx, an '04 Honda Pilot (gas guzzler at 16mpg city) and a 18 ft. ski boat. Gas prices definately impact my pocketbook and I'm thankful they've come down close to $2 bucks, but I still remember about 6 years ago when they were half of that!!! Guess I'm starting to sound like an old fart
