I have been lookin aroun alot but have had a hard time finding aftermarket parts for the 06 base vibe. Lookin for CAI and Cat Back systems or even bolt on exhaust... have they just not been developed yet?
cosmo makes a CAI for the dbw that needs just a lil modification to work correctly and yea, theres a bunch of exhausts for the vibe. magnaflow is one, dynomax and some others.
strut bar, sway bars, springs, motor mounts, headers, throttle body bored out.. what else you need???
Must resist.... V... Tec.... Temptation... to strong... "WARNING: Genvibe is a very addictive website... constant use can result in car modification and a lowering of your bank account. use with extreme caution!http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2298639
Guess I have just been lookin in the wrong places, the same folks that cater to parts for a 302 V8 are not exactly into parts for the 1.8VVT. Who woulda thunk
I have a few parts listed for your vehicle on our site. You can at least get an idea from there what is available.Exhaust - as long as you dont have the AWD, the exhausts for the Toyota Matrix XR/Base and Pontiac Vibe will work without any modification. The most popular is Magnaflow because it is a full cat back, not an axle back. For the money its the best value out there.Intakes - Cosmo is pretty much your only option because of the drive by wire. The prior year intakes can be modified to work - just not sure if you're willing to do that or if you want a straight up bolt on.All the suspension for the prior years will work as well.
there is actually another one out there im just not sure if it went into production, but a member on here has the DBW throttle and had Ijen fab a CAI for the 05+ Vibes with DBW. so NeverEnough you d might wanna check that out and see if they put that into production. but that is the only othere one i can think of right now. and GL b-train on your searching.

Yes it does. The car also comes with tires....doesnt mean there arent better ones out there for it....lol.The stock front is pretty good. Most people dont upgrade the front sway because its a PITA. Most will go with a DC strut tower bar and a Progress rear sway bar.
Hehe, well what is the differance between the factory sway bar and the aftermarket one? As far as I know the sway bar is just a bar that connects both wheels so when one wheel is moved up due to cornering the bar will inturn lift the other wheel so the car does not lean as much or not at all.
The difference is that the OEM bar is hollow and so it flexes a lot more than the solid aftermarket bars. The fact that the aftermarket bars are a larger diameter and solid is why it gives the car a lot firmer feel in the corners.
