SHORT RAM - from Cosmo CIA

Post by burkeyro »

4x4CHICHI had an extra Cosmo CIA for an '03 Base. I knew it wouldn't fit my '04 GT, but I figured I could make something work. Here is the end result:Every now and then I'll throw a Lean code at Idle but it happens so randomly and at Idle so I don't think it's a Major problem. It never leans out in Lift But I think I'm going to get a A/F Meter to be sure.

Is there a hose clamp on that filter? I see thats a pretty close fit to the MAF and if air is slipping past that filter intermit because of the lack of a clamp it "could" set a lean code. Its getting more air then fuel because its going around the filter. Looks good though. And if you do have a clamp on there. (its hard for me to tell) then who knows why the code is setting.

yeah the clamp is there, it's just hard to see cause it was dark and the Flash made it look black like the filter. I'm going to swap that filter out for a K&N eventually. So far so good. and it sounds really..... Different - I'll see if I can find a way to get a good sound clip and post it.
