Off to TX again tomorrow!

Post by damronjr »

Well, tomorrow I head out for TX again tomorrow morning bright and early. Hopefully the trip is uneventful unlike last time and I get a job ASAP after getting there so we can get a house out there! Wish me luck on the trip and job hunting!

Well, I made it! Just got here about 30min ago! Ended up being a somewhat uneventful trip, but I did have a anurism at one point. It was like 11pm at night in the middle of nowhere Texas and all of a sudden only my front bags went down! Fortunately there was a gas station out there about 1/2mi from where it happened, so I drove over there so I would at least have some light. Bought a flashlight inside since I didn't even have one and went out to check things out. I had no idea what I was going to do as I had no way of getting under the car and no parts to fix anything with! Looked around and knew it wasn't the same hose as before b/c all 4 bags go down when it blows. Decided to try to raise the front bags to so I could try to see/hear where the problem was. Hit the switches and it stayed up with no leak! So I guess either a valve kcufed up and released the pressure from the front bags, or the switch accidentally got hit where it was sitting kind of in between the seats and I just didn't realize it! Either way, the entire rest of the trip was good minus the rubber hoses on my S/C actuator that are starting to deteriorate and kept splitting. Doesn't seem to to much to the car, but every time I stopped for gas another was split or off! Kept having to cut and re-attach them. Need to get some silicon hose and replace them soon!

Are you thinking about looking into that apprenticeship program I told you about? If it's not up your alley, don't bother. But I feel it is really worth looking into. The benefits are very good. Not the same as the military, but better than any other job I have had. Just keep in mind that it could take a couple of months to get onto the program. You can get a temp job while you wait.
