now how the hell do you get a semi truck out of that? I like the design and I know they're trying something different, but I still prefer the classic version.

....? Unless this is supossed to be Prime's teenage son... I think they should've canned the flames.Really that doesn't look anything close to the classic Prime, but then again nothing about this movie (except for the actual concept) is classic

I saw some early pictures of him and I'm less than enthused. But in the meantime, here's a picture of the Bumblebee prop on his feet

yeah, he was a VW. That's why he was so short compared to everyone else. If a camaro transformed turns out that huge I wonder how tall Prime is gonna be...apparently, moderization also requires marketing of new cars

VW will not grant a licence to use their vehicles in any Transformers lines.

Just to add a little bit to the conversation. The film crew was recently in downtown Detroit doing some filming around the old Train Station here as well as some other shots. There were several locals hired as extras (but not myself). Interested to see what the movie will look like.Mike

That's what reinforcements are for I could have Prime's head as my loft, lolAnyway... The scale of these things is crazy, but then again Bay is going for as "realistic" as he can get. He took measurements of different parts of the TFs vehicles and applied that to the dimensions of the robots. Hence the long-nosed cab for Prime in order to give him some extra height The cartoon is close but there's always the glorious enigma of Megatron (i.e. big robot --> little gun) yay, Transformer magic

Short story:I went to Pirates of the Caribbean opening night, they started to show the teaser for Transformers, and I'm thinking to myself: great another alien movie, but when the title was shown, the entire movie theater went crazy, people were cheering and clapping, and I was like: yeah, bringing back the childhood.
