Because their ego couldn't handle it becoming a best-selling model, and having people say "that's cause it's really a Toyota."I mean, they've asked a magazine (forget which) not to publish an article naming the Vibe one of the best cars built in America. If GM is so afraid the red-headed stepchild will show up their own genes that they kill free advertising, why would they pay for any more? PS - Thanks for posting the commercial. It was actually decent!

I haven't seen that one... The only one I recall ever seeing was the one where the dude was shifting the Satellite Vibe to the tune of James Brown's "(removed) Machine." A tiny portion later got integrated into a commercial of the entire Pontiac line to the same tune. Then it disappeared. Then there was the infamous commercial with the dude plugging his amp into the inverter outlet that I heard everyone who ever talked to me about the car but I had never saw. I thought that was the above commercial but I guess it was similar? I dunno, maybe I missed it. Then I quit watching television so I don't know what happened after that. Screw TV.

Eh, made me a bit nostalgic there for a wee lil' sec too... The Vibe was a pretty cool car when I bought it. Can't figure out for the life of me what the hell happened later on, but in the beginning, it kicked (removed).

Interesting. I wonder how old the commercial was. The model displayed appears to be a 2003, as it has the original nose design and red instrument panel display.Yeah, I get a bit geeky when it comes to Vibes.

Well, it doesn't take a lot of brain power to see from the grille of the car that's it an 03, not to mention they said "meet the NEW Pontiac Vibe."

did any body esle see that they were in 1st gear the whole time, also it was the GT model, and it also had the navagation in the dash. now im assuming that that Vibe is THE one they used in the broushure for the vibe am i not correct??but yea i remember seeing the one with the guy and the house outlet commercial but im not too sure if i saw the first posted commercial. great finds folks.
Its hard to tell if its a GT... it didn't say GT on the side but it did have the NAV and what looked like 17" rims by some of th shots anyway. And its no surprise if they filmed that to a green screen back drop. Cool video though... been a while since I saw that one. Kinda makes me wish I had gone for the NAV system. It looks cool at night.

never saw the commercial in the first post, but i've seen a 3 or 4 of the other ones. i agree with gmjap's reason for not having more vibe commercials. ppl have asked me why i got a pontiac, and i told em that it's pretty much all toyota except for the sheet metal & emblems, and their thoughts completely changed.a cool concept for a commercial would've been by pontiac and toyota for both the vibe and matrix, considering it was a joint effort. i've never seen somethin like that, it'd be really different. i don't really see what the big problem is with letting the general public know that they teamed up with a japanese company. it's nothing new for american automakers (eclipse & talon, hombre & s-10, eclipse & laser, to name a few). after all, all you hafta do is look at any of the afformentioned two cars next to each other and it's obvious that the two companies were in kahootz

I've noticed alot of dealers having comercials for their close out sales. I've seen both Pontiac and Toyota comercials, and they advertise every kind of car they sell except for the Matrix and Vibe. They act as if these cars were Yogos. I've read so many good reviews about these cars, you'd think the dealers would be singing their praises from the rooftops.

Kinda reminds me of Apple's attitude towards the Apple IIe and the Apple IIGS. No marketing support or advertising since 1986, and yet they continued to sell themselves untill the end of 1991.
