2" spacer

Post by scherry2 »

I bought (from Damronjr I think, my minds going with age. so forgive me) some 2" spacers for my rear rims a few years ago. but I've never taken a picture of them. personally i like the way they fill the lip in the rear.

forgive my ignorance here, but is this device moving the wheels out 2" from their stock postion? Effectively making your Wheel base 4 inches wider?

You just have to keep an eye on them and make sure they stay tight, but no difference from lug nuts. If you tighten them right, they should be just fine.

Honestly, I have no clue who the seller was. I have a pic of them on my Vibe when I tried them out, but with the rims I have they stuck out too far. They seem to be perfect with the OEM 16's. I'll find the pic(s) and post it/them.Edit: Found them!

Effectively making your Wheel base 4 inches wider? You aren't increasing the wheel base, you're increasing the track width (cross car). The wheel base is the hub centerline relationship between the front and rear hub on the same side... that you can't "easily" increase.. unless you make your vibe into a limo

I didn't feel any difference.I take them off in the winter so I don't know if there would be a problem in the snow.

Quote, originally posted by scherry2 »was that because of your rims or Air Bags. The tires and the rims were too wide. I didn't have air-bags yet, just springs. It was lowered, and that also played a part, but if the rim/tire combo would have been thinner it wouldn't have rubbed like that anyways.
