These items are either unique to this vehicle or have significant impact on initial customer satisfaction.Automatic Transmission Shift Interlock (ATSI) CoverYou will find a plastic cap taped to the shifter handle upon delivery of these vehicles to your dealership. This round cap is provided to cover the ATSI override control. The ATSI override is found on the transmission shifter bezel to the right of the shifter. To assure the complete safety and integrity of this system, you MUST install the included cap. To do so, simply insert the cap into the hole until seated.Vehicle Transportation Tie-Down Underbody Inserts There are two holes located in the vehicle underbody in front of the rear wheels (one hole each side) that are utilized for securing the vehicle during transportation. Two rubber plugs (found in the instrument panel compartment) are included with the vehicle to seal these holes in the underbody. You must install these caps to prevent water intrusion into the unibody which may cause excessive corrosion. Refer to the graphic above, which illustrates the passenger side of the vehicle (driver's side similar). The dark arrow indicates the position of the underbody cutout and the outlined arrow indicates the front of vehicle.Tire PressureImportantTires MUST be set to the recommended inflation pressure during the PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION (including the spare tire).With the increased visibility and concerns over automotive tires in the media, it is more important than ever to properly check and adjust tire pressures (including spare). Improper tire pressures may result in ride, handling, and/or noise concerns. You MUST check and adjust the tire pressures during the pre-delivery inspection to the requested PSI as found on the tire placard, NOT the pressure indicated on the sidewall of the tire. The recommended tire pressure placard is located on the instrument panel compartment door. General Motors vehicles are shipped from the factory with tire pressures from 35 psi to 41 psi. Tire pressures are set higher at the assembly plants to assure proper tire bead seating. GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. Strange GM has to notify his dealer with those facts. It looks like some people complain about this. It is a good news for everyone who does not have his Vibe yet.

Yes - need the graphic - I'm concerned about the front plugs they are talking about. They use lots of road salt in PA, plus, the fact that my tires were delivered at 40 psi indicates a lake of attentiveness on the part of the dealer.

FYI, to prevent any further confusion, if you re-read the portion about the Underbody Inserts, you will see that they are located "in the vehicle underbody in front of the rear wheels".Attached is the missing image.

mine is definetely not installed, because the 2 rubber plugs are in my glove compartment.where are the holes exactly? I looked at the jpeg image, but can't really figure it out, is it just front of the rear wheels?

To make it simple, start by looking under the vehicle starting at the rear door (not hatch) and move back towards the rear wheel. You will see the spot pictured in the photo where the rubber plugs are supposed to be. They are not too far under the vehicle and can be seen by kneeling down and looking under.This is a simple 1-minute complete install.. no need to take this to a dealer unless you feel necessary.

I checked this morning and both mine are there. If yours aren't and you have the plugs, it would be an easy install using the image NSimkins attached. Like putting on a tupperware lid.

I just checked mine, and I have the plugs in place. You really need to get low to the ground to see them -- my hair was sitting on my very dirty garage floor to get down that low -- YUCK!However, I don't have my cover for the ATSI, so maybe I'll get that ordered in. Should take about a billion years for my dealer to get that in.

We just want to take the keys and leave as soon as possible. However to give us a focus before taking official possession could you recommend some organized check list for the buyer to go over re the delivered car before one signs off?

Well don't just pick up your keys and leave, make sure the salesman gives you a nice good long walkthrough on everything about your car. But there is no inspection sheet or such outside the pre-delivery inspection which is done on every vehicle when it gets unloaded off the truck regardless if its sold or not. If you want to take the time and go over the vehicle before you leave with it however, is not a bad idea. make sure everything works before you leave.

this is my seventh vehicle. i NEVER leave the dealership without doing a walk through. if you do, then that's your own fault. atleast it's a new vehicle and covered under warranty. better than a used one and NOT be covered. so what if you have to go back and get something fixed. if you didn't do the walk through in the first place, who's fault is that?? just chalk it up to a lesson learned and go from there. be happy that if there is a problem, they have to fix it!

see that the VIN number is correct Is the odometer reading representative of a factory delivered carproper air pressure for the 4 tires (32 psi) the two rubber plugs have been inserted in the underbody (the two holes are located in the vehicle underbody in front of the rear wheels (one hole each side))check that there is an antenna on topfront and rear seat floor mats, cargo cover and a rear cargo mat (if ordered) are present check the condition of the interior clothcheck the plastic interior for sratches etccheck rubber gaskets around the glass are complete and aligned look/ask for evidence of the security etching if applicableget the plastic key code from the dealer and two sets of keysof course be sure that the paint and finish is perfect iespecifically, look for variations/defects in paint and problems with gaps in panelscheck that the owner's manual and warranty book are in the caretc
